Junction of two adjoining plots and the complete rehabilitation of both adjacent buildings

It is located at Rua da Lapa around the corner from Rua de São Domingos à Lapa, an old and historic part of Lisbon, the parish of Lapa.

As a whole, the project consisted in turning two adjoining plots into one and the complete rehabilitation of both adjacent buildings of historic value, for residential purposes, in a total of 7 dwellings, 19 parking lots and green areas.

Gardens and patios have been created, as well as pedestrian zones throughout the entire common public areas.

The elements of greater architectonic and historic value were all conserved, while also introducing a contemporary language in the space and typologies, both in the interior and in the exterior.

Looking at each apartment as an individual work there was a dedicated approach to each case, mostly as a consequence of the need to adapt to the existing conditions. With very different typologies throughout, every apartment is, hence, unique.
